The William figure here is based on the tale of William revealing his face during the Battle Of Hastings to scotch rumours of his death. Bishop Odo wears the quilted armour that he is illustrated wearing in the Bayeaux Tapestry. He is the only figure in that Norman propaganda rag wearing such armour but as he commissioned the piece, I guess he can wear what he wants!
Supplied with wooden club for William and metal-headed mace for Odo.
Cast on shields.
Spears and bases not included. Any weapons supplied may vary from those illustrated.
Sculpted by Colin Patten.
Painted by Adey Burt.
